meteor shower

Last night, or early this morning, we went over to marin by those bunkers up on the hill to check out the meteor shower that "peaked" early this morning. We went with some new friends and had a really nice time, and couldn't have chose a better spot to watch them. After checking 'em out for a while, we came back to the city and made a pit stop at donut world. Once again fresh donuts were brought out when we got there, and they were heaven sent. Warm butter milk bars. So good.

I brought the camera, but didn't take any photos. dumb.

potluck

MODEL, the program i intern for at an elementary school had a potluck for the kids, family and staff on saturday. We bought a trader joe's pumpkin bread mix and baked it to bring. While it was baking, it made the house smell sooo good. It tasted pretty good too. Only about 1/4 of it was eaten at the potluck so we brought it home and have been snacking on it ever since.

On friday, we hung out with adrian. we started off just hangin out in the park but then it got pretty cold so we decided to get something to eat. we got some good mexican food and then headed out to some bars.

today, sunday, homework basically all day. Almost finished with my research paper. Went for a stroll to get out of the house. lazy, boring, sunday.

Sorry for lack of updates. Not much has really been goin on. but not in a bad way. just been doing a lot of homework and studying. Got another test coming up and other papers. Angela is going to come with me to my internship and check it out. Thursdays are fun because we usually play kickball or some other type of game with the kids outside.

It's not too long before i come home for thanksgiving week. I'm excited. Get to see all the people i didn't realize how much i would miss.

Halloween

for halloween pat, hollyn, eric, renee, caressa, cheslea, angela, and i hung out. We first got dinner then went to a party on haight. It was fun, but wanting to do more we went over to berkeley. There, we went to another party. We soon were over that one, and walked back to pats house. We just hung out and had some laughs for the rest of the night. woke up, got a breakfast burrito, and headed back to the city. We were very tired today.

dollar days

Yesterday, Alex Barker and I went over to Berkeley and hung out with Minh and Patrick Holland. We went to golden gate fields cause they have dollar sundays. Admission, beer, and hot dogs are all $1 each! It's pretty cool. It was a nice day with lots of laughs. It feels weird that when we hang out we just reminisce about the good ol' days. I feel too young to already be doing that... but we have such good laughs looking back.

Furlough Weekend

This weekend is another furlough weekend, which means it lasts through friday, saturday, sunday, monday. It will probably and hopefully consist of lots of reading and writing. I have a lot of reading to keep up with and a few papers i need to get started on. Hopefully some fun thing will come up at some point too.

Mid-Terms Over

I had three midterms this week and they are now officially over. I got my grades back on two of them already. In developmental psychology i got a 90% and on drug dependency and eating disorders i got a 95%. So far, so good. I just took my statistics final yesterday, and it was long and thorough. I just finished right as class ended, and i was sweating by the end of it. Hopefully i did well on it.

Mom came and visited last weekend, and we had a pleasant time. The main thing we did was went down to check out the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin and Art Festival. It was a lot bigger than we had anticipated. That was both good and bad. It meant a lot of crowds and traffic on the pacific coast highway (luckily it was a beatiful day and PCH is right along the coast, so we didn't mind too much), but it meant lots of cool art and good food.
Besides that, Mom just walked around or neighborhood a lot and got a kick out of that.
